This Privacy Policy explains what information Huffy Media ("we", "us", or "our") collects and uses when you use PullFit, our mixed reality resistance band fitness application for Meta Quest, why we use it, who it is shared with, and how to ask for it to be deleted.
Most of PullFit's information never leaves your headset. Some features do collect and process data: optional anonymous analytics, diagnostics, multiplayer and voice chat, and the Meta platform features PullFit uses for multiplayer (your Meta user ID and avatar). Each is described below.
1. Information Stored on Your Headset
PullFit stores the following on your Meta Quest so that it can work. We do not receive a copy of it:
- Profiles: the name you give each profile, and the body measurements taken during calibration (standing and squat head height, overhead reach and side reach).
- Progress: workout history, exercises, repetitions, scores, fitness test results, streaks, goals and plan progress.
- Equipment and adjustments: your resistance bands, and any exercise target adjustments ("Tweaks") you save.
- Settings: music, demo video, Training Mirror and data sharing preferences.
Your headset's platform backup may store a copy of this data with your Meta account, which is covered by Meta's own privacy policies and terms.
2. Hand and Head Tracking
PullFit uses tracking information provided by the Meta Quest platform to understand the position and movement of your head and hands while you exercise. This allows PullFit to provide features such as exercise targets, repetition tracking and the Training Mirror.
This tracking information is used in real time and is not stored. In multiplayer it is also sent live to the other players in your game (see section 5). PullFit does not use it to identify you.
3. Passthrough and Your Surroundings
PullFit uses Meta Quest mixed reality and passthrough so that you can stay aware of your physical surroundings while exercising. PullFit does not record or store video or images of your surroundings.
4. Anonymous Analytics (Optional) and Diagnostics
Analytics: only if you agree
When you create a profile, PullFit asks whether you want to share anonymous data. You can change this at any time in Settings → Share Anonymous Data. If you agree, PullFit sends usage events to Unity Gaming Services Analytics, such as:
- Workouts and exercises started, completed or abandoned.
- Demo videos watched.
- Fitness test results and the band resistance used.
- Exercise target adjustments saved.
- Which profile setup screens were reached.
- Whether your Meta avatar could be loaded in Online multiplayer (an error code only, never your Meta user ID).
These events are linked to a random identifier created by Unity. They never include your name, profile names, body measurements, voice or images. We use them only to understand which parts of PullFit work well and to improve it. If you decline, none of this is sent.
Diagnostics
Unity's services automatically collect basic technical information, such as app sessions, device model, operating system, app version and an approximate country derived from your IP address. This is collected whether or not you share analytics, and is used to keep PullFit working and to fix problems.
5. Multiplayer and Voice Chat
These apply only when you use PullFit's Co-location or Online multiplayer:
- Sign-in: Unity Authentication signs you in anonymously with a random player ID.
- Game data: Unity Multiplayer and Relay send your profile name, band resistance, repetitions and scores, head and hand positions, hand gestures and target positions live to the other players in your game. This is used only to run the game and is not kept by us after it ends.
- Voice chat (Online only): through Unity Vivox, your microphone audio is sent live to the other people in your game. It is not recorded or stored by us. PullFit asks for microphone permission. You can mute yourself, or mute the other player on your headset, at any time.
- Co-location rooms: to line up headsets in the same room, PullFit uses Meta's shared spatial anchors, which store anchor data in Meta's cloud under Meta's terms.
- Reporting players: if you report another player using Meta's reporting tool (Meta button → Report Abuse), Meta sends us the report, including the reason you chose and who was reported, so we can review it. We use reports only to deal with behaviour that breaks our rules.
6. Meta Platform Features
PullFit requests the following Meta platform features for multiplayer:
- User ID: to identify you to the other players in your game, to load your avatar, and to let you invite friends and join their games.
- Avatars: your Meta Avatar's appearance is loaded from Meta and shown to the other players in Online multiplayer, moving with your head and hands.
Inviting friends uses Meta's own invite panel. Your friend list is shown inside Meta's interface, and PullFit never sees it. PullFit does not access your Horizon username or profile photo.
This information comes from Meta, is used only while you are in a multiplayer game, and is not stored on our servers. It is never sold or used for advertising. Meta's own use of it is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy.
7. How We Use Information
- Provide workouts, exercise tracking and fitness tests.
- Track your progress, goals and streaks.
- Maintain profiles, preferences and settings.
- Run multiplayer games, invites, avatars and voice chat.
- Understand how PullFit is used, if you agree, and improve it.
- Keep PullFit working and fix problems.
8. Advertising and Sharing
PullFit has no advertising and no ad tracking. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not track you across other apps.
Information is processed by the service providers PullFit needs to work:
- Unity Technologies: analytics, diagnostics, sign-in, multiplayer and voice chat (Unity Privacy Policy).
- Meta Platforms: app distribution, platform backup, avatars, user ID, invites and shared spatial anchors (Meta Privacy Policy).
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or where necessary to protect our legal rights.
9. Data Retention
- Information stored on your headset stays there until you delete it.
- Analytics and diagnostics are kept by Unity for its standard retention period.
- Multiplayer game data and voice are sent live only and are not kept after the game.
- Player reports are kept only as long as needed to review and act on them.
10. Your Choices and Deleting Your Data
- On your headset: delete a profile in Settings → Manage Profiles to remove that profile's data, or uninstall PullFit to remove all of it.
- Stop sharing analytics: turn off Settings → Share Anonymous Data. Nothing further is sent.
- Data held by our service providers: email huffy2media@gmail.com with the subject "PullFit data deletion". Our analytics do not contain your name or contact details, so we usually cannot link them to you. Uninstalling PullFit removes its anonymous identifier from your headset. If you used multiplayer, include your Meta username and we will check for anything connected to it. We will reply within 30 days.
- Meta account data: information managed by Meta, such as your avatar, is controlled through Meta's own account and privacy settings.
You can also contact us at the same address to ask what information we hold about you or to correct it.
11. Children's Privacy
PullFit is intended for ages 13 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Use of Meta Quest devices and accounts is also subject to Meta's age requirements, parental controls and terms.
12. Security
We take reasonable measures to limit the information PullFit processes and to protect information within our control. However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as PullFit develops or if its data practices change. When we do, the updated policy will be published on this page and the "Last updated" date will be revised.
